During one week the participants will have the possibility to follow the experts during the daily routine including nonsurgical and surgical periodontal and peri-implant treatment procedures based on the Bernese synoptic treatment concept. A substantial part of the time will be dedicated to direct observation during conventional, regenerative and plastic-esthetic periodontal and/or Peri-implant surgical procedures.

Presentation of clinical cases and seminars will complete the program. Following this course, the participants will gain a more thorough understanding of the Bernese synoptic treatment concept for the successful management of the various periodontal and peri-implant conditions.

Surgical Techniques:

• Various periodontal surgical approaches including different types of flaps
• Regenerative periodontal surgery using various biomaterials, enamel matrix proteins or GTR
• The modified coronally advanced tunnel and the laterally closed tunnel for the treatment of single and multiple gingival recessions
• Nonsurgical and surgical procedures for the treatment of peri-implantitis
• Novel developments in GBR
